The P-002 Vacuum Breaker is designed to protect the potable water system by not allowing potentially contaminated water to siphon or backflow into the potable water system. The device is to be installed on to the end of a hose-threaded valve and secured with the set screw. The P-002 Vacuum Breaker is recommended for use on a sill faucet, boiler drain or self-draining freezeless hydrant. This device is not recommended for use on a standard freezeless hydrant as it will prevent the hydrant from draining after shutoff, and thus can cause damage at freezing temperatures.
